How the DD700 Desiccant Dehumidifier Works
- Air is drawn into the unit as process air.
- The air passes through a rotating silica gel desiccant rotor.
- Moisture is absorbed by the desiccant material as the air moves through the wheel.
- Dry air exits the unit and returns to the controlled space.
- A second air stream called regeneration air is heated and passed through a portion of the rotor.
- This heated air removes the moisture from the rotor.
- The moist regeneration air is exhausted from the system.
- The rotor slowly rotates to continuously regenerate and maintain drying performance.
