Replacement Knives & Cutting Wheels

For panel saw and substrate cutting applications, Safety Speed is the brand we carry and trust, offering dedicated acrylic, ACM, and polycarbonate cutting wheels matched precisely to their machines.

The main types of cutting wheels include bonded abrasive wheels (commonly made of aluminum oxide or silicon carbide for metal and masonry), diamond cutting wheels (embedded with industrial diamond grit for concrete, tile, and stone), and carbide-grit wheels used primarily for cutting softer materials like fiberglass, plastics, and wood.

You can identify them by checking the printed label for maximum safe RPM, intended material, and thickness, where cutting wheels are typically much thinner (around 1 millimeter to 3 millimeters) and flat for slicing through material, while grinding wheels are noticeably thicker and often feature a depressed center for stock removal and surface work.

Pricing depends on the wheel type and size — our Safety Speed cutting wheels for panel saws and substrate cutters, like the ACM Cutting Wheel or acrylic scoring blades, are sold as matched sets designed specifically for Safety Speed machines rather than generic abrasive chop wheels.

We don't carry Eastman-brand cutting wheels, which are designed for fabric and textile cutting — a different application entirely. For panel saw and substrate work, our Safety Speed acrylic and ACM cutting wheels are the right fit and are sold in matched sets for Safety Speed machines.

Common cutting wheel sizes range from small 3- to 4-inch wheels for detail work up to large 14-inch wheels for chop saws and abrasive cut-off machines, with panel saw and substrate cutting wheels like our Safety Speed lineup typically sized to match specific machines.
