The IMER Combicut series (such as the Combicut 200 VA or 250 series) is widely considered an elite, commercial-grade wet tile saw for heavy-duty stonework and large-format porcelain. Unlike typical consumer tabletop saws, IMER uses a rigid overhead rail design where the motor and blade glide smoothly over the material, delivering exceptional depth of cut, zero vibration, and absolute precision for high-end tile contractors.

Yes, a wet tile saw is completely worth it if your project involves dense porcelain, natural stone, L-cuts, mitered edges, or multiple rooms of tile, as it saves hours of frustration and prevents ruined materials by delivering smooth, factory-quality cuts.

A standard tile saw can refer to either a manual snap cutter or a dry-cutting masonry saw, whereas a wet tile saw specifically incorporates an integrated water pump or reservoir that continuously streams water over a rotating diamond blade to eliminate friction, suppress hazardous silica dust, and prevent chipping.

Instead of a wet saw, you can use a manual snap cutter, an angle grinder equipped with a continuous-rim diamond blade, or carbide-tipped tile nippers.

You can cut tile without a wet saw by using the score-and-snap method for straight lines or dry-cutting with a diamond blade for complex shapes.

Yes — a wet tile saw's spinning diamond blade can cause serious injury to fingers just like any other saw blade; always use a push stick or guide, keep hands clear of the blade path, and never reach across the blade while it's spinning, even with water running.
