Ecopoxy FlowCast Premium Woodworker's Epoxy Performance & Casting Features
- Designed for Thick Pours – Cast deep epoxy layers from ½" to 1½" per pour, ideal for large woodworking projects such as river tables and ocean tables.
- Excellent Air Release – Low-viscosity formula allows trapped air bubbles to escape during curing for smooth, professional-quality castings.
- Bubble-Free Castings – Engineered for consistent clarity and a glass-like finish even in deep pours.
- Outstanding Transparency – Cures to a crystal clear water-transparent finish perfect for showcasing wood grain and embedded objects.
- Pigment Compatible – Easily tint with EcoPoxy Liquid Pigments or Metallic Pigments to create custom colors, depth, and artistic effects.
- Low Heat Buildup – Controlled curing reaction minimizes excessive heat generation during thick pours.
- Resists Warping & Cracking – Stable curing properties reduce internal stress that can damage large castings.
- Woodworking Friendly – Fully machinable using common woodworking tools for sanding, shaping, cutting, and finishing.
Ecopoxy FlowCast Premium Woodworker's Epoxy Mixing & Application
- Mixing Ratio – Combine 2 parts resin with 1 part hardener by volume in a clean, dry mixing container.
- Mix Time – Thoroughly mix for 4–5 minutes until the resin and hardener are fully blended.
- Pigments – Add EcoPoxy Liquid or Metallic pigments if desired and mix until color is evenly dispersed.
- Pour Depth – Recommended casting thickness is 13–38 mm (½"–1½") per layer.
- Maximum Pour Volume – Up to 30 L per layer without additional cooling.
- Layering Technique – For best adhesion between layers, pour the next layer when the previous layer is still tacky.
- Surface Preparation – If a layer fully cures before the next pour, lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper and clean the surface before pouring.
- Heat Management – For very large pours, use multiple thinner layers and airflow such as fans to dissipate heat during curing.
